Natural Gas Intelligence respects your privacy and is committed to protecting Personal Information (defined below) that you provide to us. This statement explains our policies and practices regarding the use and disclosure of your Personal (and Non-Personal) Information by NGI.

Collection and Use of Personal Information Definition: We use the term “Personal Information” to refer to information that, by itself, would permit someone to identify or contact you, such as your full name, address, telephone number, or email address. Personal Information does not include aggregated information that, by itself, does not permit the identification of individual persons. Our website does not collect any Personal Information about you other than the information that you submit to us in the process of accessing our website or communicating with us by chat, email or phone. NGI may use your Personal Information for the purposes of supporting your relationship with our company by designing content that is suitable to your needs and alerting you to new service offerings as they become available or to help improve our products and services. What Information Do We Collect About You and Why?

We may collect information about you directly from yourself, from third parties, and automatically through your use of our services.

Information We Collect Directly from Customers

We may collect any information that you provide to us. For example, certain areas and features of our services may require registration. To register, customers must provide us with their first name, last name, company name, email address, and website, and select a password. We also may collect additional optional information from customers, including company size and phone number; however, you are not required to provide us with this information. In addition, if a customer makes a purchase, we will also request that you provide your credit or debit card information and your billing address.

We may use the information we collect about you in aggregated form or associate it with other information that we collect about you.

Information We Collect Automatically

We may automatically collect the following information about your use of our services through cookies and other technologies: your domain name; your browser type and operating system; web pages you view; links you click; your IP address; the length of time you visit or use our services; the referring URL, or the webpage that led you to our services; access time; and device ID.

When you download files from us or use our services, we automatically collect information about the type of device you use, which may include operating system version, system and performance information (hardware usage statistics such as CPU, RAM, storage).

NGI does not sell or trade Personal Information to third parties without your prior consent.

If you provide NGI with especially sensitive information, such as a credit card number, be advised that all transmission of sensitive data is encrypted. We also restrict access to this sensitive information on our computers to employees who have a need to know the information. NGI uses Authorize.Net and ChargeOver as credit card merchants to clear credit card transactions, which have strict policies regulating the data they share. NGI is not privy to your financial information from these providers at any point during any online transaction and does not possess details such as credit card numbers

Collection and Use of Non–Personal Information

In general, you can browse non–permission areas of the NGI website without providing any personal information. We use Google Analytics and certain software tools such as JavaScript to measure and collect session information. We do this in order to analyze traffic to our site, and to better understand the needs of our customers and visitors. Some examples of the information we collect and analyze include the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; computer and connection information such as browser type and version, operating system, and platform; the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) referring page to our web site along with each page viewed, including date and time. Like many websites, visitors accessing the NGI website will be offered a “cookie.” A cookie can be described as a small text file containing information that is transferred to your computer’s local storage when you visit a website. The use of cookies enables us to analyze site traffic patterns. A cookie will not give us access to your computer or to any information other than what you voluntarily provide to us. Most web browsers will automatically accept cookies. There are many methods and applications available for disabling a browser’s handling of cookies, or restricting the exchange of data. Should you disable cookies, you may still view the publicly available information on our websites, although it will likely interfere with your overall browsing experience.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information, including personal data, that we gather about you for the following purposes: To provide our services to you, to communicate with you about your use of our services, to respond to your inquiries, to fulfill your orders, and for other customer service purposes. To tailor the content and information that we may send or display to you, to offer location customization and personalized help and instructions, and to otherwise personalize your experiences while using our services. To contact you, including for marketing and promotional purposes. For example, we may use your information, such as your email address, to send you news and newsletters, special offers, and promotions, or to otherwise contact you about products or information we think may interest you. We also may use the information that we learn about you to assist us in advertising our services on third-party services. To better understand how individuals access and use our services, including to learn about their engagement levels and navigation paths, as well as user retention and funnel drop-offs, and for other research and analytical purposes.

Google Remarketing At this time, NGI uses Google AdWords, Google Analytics, and the Google Display Network together to serve ads to you on other websites after you’ve visited our website. This practice, known collectively as Google Remarketing, is a popular tool that Google offers to businesses. If you would like to know more about the program, you may read about it here. These are the basics: we, along with third–party vendors, Google and DoubleClick, use first–party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third–party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on your past visits to our website. If you would like to opt- out of receiving advertising like this from Google, you can manage these settings by visiting the Google Ads Preferences Manager. Also, Google recommends installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Special Circumstances of Disclosure NGI may only disclose information that you have furnished about yourself if we believe in good faith belief that such action is reasonably necessary: (1) to comply with the law; (2) to comply with legal process; (3) to respond to claims that such content violates the rights of third-parties; (4) to protect the interests of NGI, or for a compelled public purpose such as national security or public safety.

External Links The NGI website may provide links to third- party websites. Even if the third- party is affiliated with NGI through a business partnership or otherwise, NGI is not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of such external links. External links are provided for convenience only and access to these links is at your own risk. Confidentiality and Non–Disclosure Agreements Nothing in this Privacy Policy shall detract from the rights and obligations of the parties to any non-disclosure or similar agreement that NGI has entered into with any customer or other third party. The NGI Privacy Policy is subject to change at any time, without notice and we encourage you to review this policy regularly for any changes.
