North American natural gas prices treaded water this week. The New York Mercantile Exchange contract for October was trading at around $2.300/MMBtu on Thursday afternoon, roughly where it was last Thursday.
Lower weather-driven demand was met by subdued U.S. production, which is now at around 100 Bcf/d, according to Wood Mackenzie estimates.
Mexico imports of U.S. natural gas powered forward. For the past 10 days through Thursday, Mexico imported 7.57 Bcf/d of pipeline U.S. natural gas, according to NGI calculations.
