As clouds gather around the future of Mexico’s energy industry, experts have presented an analysis of changes to the industry since the implementation of the country’s 2013 reform that unleashed private investment in oil, natural gas and electricity for the first time in more than 75 years.

“Regulación del sector energético en México. Una década de transformación (Energy sector regulation in Mexico. A decade of transformation), a book presented this month by more than 100 industry experts detailed a nuanced review of the changes to the sector since the approval of the energy reform.

Current and former members of the Mexican government, as well as legislators, lawyers, economists, biologists, engineers, electricians and technicians were invited to give their thoughts on the last decade in the Mexican energy sector.
