WhiteHawk Adds to Natural Gas Mineral, Royalty Empire with Marcellus Acquisition

Whitehawk Energy LLC announced it closed on the acquisition of mineral and royalty interests in the Marcellus Shale spanning about 435,000 gross unit acres.

Philadelphia-based Whitehawk’s natural gas mineral and royalty portfolio now includes about 1.05 million gross unit acres and more than 3,400 producing wells, primarily in the Marcellus and Haynesville shales.

The latest deal included acreage operated by Antero Resources Corp., EQT Corp., Range Resources Corp. and CNX Resources Corp.
